Facilities Management Mission Statement

Facility Management’s mission is to efficiently operate, maintain, and improve campus facilities in support of University programs by providing a safe, clean, attractive, and friendly environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

HPC Check-In

  • You can check in with your Student ID or MY UT App at the Welcome Desk.
  • Have your Student ID or My UT App ready to be scanned.
  • Check with the staff to make sure the area you want to use is open.
  • Wait until prompted to scan your ID or App so staff can make sure the computer is ready.

Whether you are with a group, class, or just want to walk through the Human Performance Center solo, we have a variety of tour options for you! Tour requests need to be made at least one full week in advance in order to schedule the staff needed.

Building Features

Swimming Pool

50 meter Olympic sized swimming pool 2 movable bulk heads, two 3 meter and two 1 meter diving springboards, 20 person spa. This is also home to our UT Women’s swim team!

Fitness Centers

The HPC features two fitness areas to work out in. We have one fitness area on the main level that has mostly cardio equipment with some weight equipment, with more weight equipment found in the second level fitness area. Also throughout the second and third level we have different cardio equipment in those areas.

Indoor Basketball Courts

We have 3 total basketball courts. Two of these courts offer wood flooring and the third court will be a Multi Activity Court (MAC) surface that can be used for variety of sports. These courts are located on Level 2.

Climbing Wall

Our climbing wall is the tallest climbing wall on any college or university campus in Utah. The 65′ climbing wall also features a bouldering wall. It has climbing routes for all types of climbers.

We have three multi-purpose rooms to be used for a variety of academic and campus recreation classes. Space is available for small group events.

Multi Activity Court (MAC)

The Multi Activity Court (MAC) has a surface that can be used for a variety of sports. This includes volleyball, basketball, indoor soccer, futsol, badminton and much more.

Track

We have a indoor track and out door track for you to enjoy while you get your run or walk in.

1 mile = 9 laps on both indoor and outdoor tracks.

Will Hill

Sprint track is a 40 degree incline that takes you from level three to roof outdoor track. The Sprint track is called Will Hill after UT President Biff Williams.

Esports Lounge

The Esports Lounge is also the home to our competitive Utah Tech Esports teams. Our players compete against other schools across the country in video game competitions across several game genres and titles. The  lounge is a free, recreational Esports gaming lounge located in Human Performance Center Lower Level 011 and outfitted with 12 high-end gaming rigs (Dell Precision 3630 Tower), 1 Nintendo switch, and 3 TVs open for use.

Esports Lounge Hours are the same as the HPC Building Hours.

 

Esports Lounge Standards:

Participant Code of Conduct

  • All patrons and guests of the Human Performance Center should act in accordance of the standards regulations set by the Human Performance Center, Department of campus recreation and Utah Tech University.  HPC & Campus Recreation staff reserve the right to refuse access or remove any individual(s) whose behavior is deemed inappropriate.
  • Physical, Verbal, Or Written Abuse will not be tolerated and may lead to suspension from the facility
  • Participants using the Human Performance Center assume all liability of and agree to compensate Campus Recreation or Esport team for any damages that occurs. Including, but not limited to lost, stolen or damaged items.
  • No climbing on or sitting on the gaming desks/furniture.
  • Outside food is prohibited in all activity areas of the Student Recreation Center unless approved by ?  Non-glass, spill proof bottles are permitted, but must be stored in appropriate areas when not in use. Food must be approved by Esports Club President, Esport Mentor, or Campus Recreation Club sports. Just so you are aware any food on campus needs to go through dining services or be approved through dining services.
  • All participants will be asked to sign an agreement acknowledging that they understand the rules and regulations prior to playing in the lounge.
  • Keep belongings clear of games areas. Please store all items in day lockers outside of the Esports Lounge on the HPC Lower Level.
  • Disinfect Equipment before and after use.
